Last night was that dreaded time of the month when I have to go to a "big grocery shopping" trip. It is always something I have dreaded for many reasons. It is never fun to spend that much money on something that will be gone in a few weeks. However, I have found it to be more enjoyable now that I leave the kids with Matthew and I go by myself. I can take my time and look for deals. Last night I went to both Aldis and Wal-Mart. All I can say is I was very proud of myself and Matthew was absolutely amazed at the amount of groceries I had bought for the amount of money I spent. On the way home I called Matthew to tell him that I was leaving Wal-Mart and that I should be home shortly and I think all he said was, "thank God!". I just had to laugh. The stuff he was putting up with in the 2 1/2 hours I was gone I had been dealing with all day. Those two words somehow helped me to remember how much my husband appreciates what I do everyday and also made me happy that he was now dealing with it for a few hours to give me a break to regain my sanity. I kinda felt bad for him because the kids have been extra trying this week because they are both getting over being sick and I know how they have been, but I am happy and thankful that I have a husband who is willing to help out. OK, this is off track a little, but I just have to add that Logan has decided that he wants to wake 3 or 4 times at night now and Matthew has been wonderful helping with Logan at night. I am very happy for this because I do need some sleep! Love you honey!
Yesterday morning Logan decided that 5:30 am was going to be his wake up time, so I got up and nursed him. When I was done I looked down at his smiling face, that was full of energy and I knew he wasn't going back down. I decided that I would get started on the house work. Before 8 am I had vacuumed, cleaned Grace's bathroom, eaten breakfast, got Grace her breakfast, blogged, feed Logan for a second time that morning, taken Taco out to do her business, started laundry and got something out for dinner. I felt like it was a whole lot later then 8 am. The second half of the morning was just as productive. I cleaned our bathroom, made the bed, did more laundry, worked on dinner a little, fed Logan 2 more times while Grace sat on my lap, fed Grace lunch, put Grace down for her nap, ate lunch and mopped the floor. I was going to do my pilates, but I wasn't feeling well, that's my story and I am sticking to it. I got a shower and then laid on the couch and napped for a few minutes. Logan then woke up and I fed him once again. I worked on dinner a little bit more and did some more laundry. By this time it was about 3:30 pm or so and Grace woke from her nap. I gave her a bath and let her play for a while in the tub. I worked on dinner a little more, got Grace out of the tub and got her dinner. While she ate I bathed Logan. Matthew got home around this time, it was about 5:30 pm. He picked up my car and took it to go get the oil changed. Grace screamed when he left. She was so upset that her daddy did not come in and give her all the attention he normally does, then she went to get a sippy cup off the counter and dropped it on her head, so I put on Little Einsteins for her so she would calm down a little. I fed Logan yet again and then put dinner together around that time Matthew was getting back from getting the oil changed. We ate dinner and then Matthew played with Grace for the next hour and a half. They played with play dough and drank smoothies. Grace loves spending time with daddy! While he was playing with Grace I folded the last basket of laundry and cleaned the kitchen. Matthew then started working on praised band stuff and I painted Gracie's toenails(she loves it!), then picked up Gracie's toys and put the girl to bed, that is after giving her a snack. It was now after 8pm, so it was time for Logan to eat one last time for the night. I decided I deserved to watch a little TV, so I turned on Gilmore Girls and relaxed while I nursed Logan. Around 9 pm it was ready for him to go to bed. Matthew and I watched some TV before falling asleep for the night. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention all the times I had to take Gracie to the potty.
Once again Logan woke up at 5:30 this morning, only what was I to do? I did everything yesterday. I laid on the couch and rested while Logan sat in his chair. Then Grace woke up around 7:15 am, so I had to tend to her. I am so pleased that the only thing I have to do today is make dinner and pack our bags for our overnight trip to West Virginia tomorrow. What will I do with my time? I am sure the kids will take care of that. :)
1. Why do breastfed babies crap bright yellow? I mean they drink white milk.
2. Why does Grace grab one snack in each hand hold them to her shoulders and run down the hall?
3. Why do I hate when people say "how come?" instead of why? My mom does this, irritates me to death!!!!
4. Why does everyone always have to put their "2 cents in" when you have a child?
5. Why does Grace have no interest in the potty, until you say the word wee wee, or I start nursing my son?
6. Why does my son wait until I am comfy in bed to start to fuss? I think it is a conspiracy, but that is another post.
7. Why is Grace obsessed with bouncy balls?
8. Why does Grace call her uncle Aaron "Joel"? She used to call him Aaron.
9. Why does Grace pat herself on the head an say "Joel" when she wants her uncle Joel?
10. Why did I just write this?
